
The UZDOC First Study Visit was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on June 30 and July 1, 2014, followed by a Consortium meeting on July 2. This Study Visit has been hosted by Tashkent Financial Institute. This visit worked on deliverable 1.1 of the project, the Report about doctoral education in Uzbekistan, released in June 2014. Best practices in doctoral education have been presented at this visit, focusing on the folllowing main areas:
- Doctoral education organisation models in EHEA
- Doctoral supervision process
- How support structures for doctoral candidates function
Day 1 of the Study Visit was devoted to the organisation and content of doctoral studies in Europe, while Day 2 analysed doctoral education in Uzbekistan by organizing working groups and workshops.
