Athens University of Economics and Business - Research Center
The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) was originally founded in 1920. Right now AUEB consists of 8 undergraduate programs, 28 graduate (Master's) programs, a Doctoral program and 25 research laboratories. AUEB initiated the first MSc in Human Resource Management (both for full time and part time students) in Greece in 2002. Successful completion of this MSc program requires attending and successfully passing core and elective courses, submitting a dissertation and participating in a placement. The vast majority (85%) of the University's graduates found jobs right after their graduation. There is an HR Laboratory that supports the abovementioned activities as well as a research centre on organizational behaviour and leadership (http://crob.dmst.aueb.gr/). In 2008, the AUEB Master in Human Resource Management received an award ‘Committed to Excellence’ from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
What is the Athens University of Economics and Business contribution to the project?
Athens University of Economics and Business has extensive experience in teaching and conducting research in Human Resource Management. In addition, the University has the experience of developing the curriculum as well as the content of specific core or elective courses. AUEB has also knowledge and experience in the evaluation and administrative processes involved in a graduate study focuses on Human Resource and also in other relevant activities such as HR laboratory, field trips, recruitment and selection of students, induction courses for both staff and students, work placements, exchange visits and others. Due to the abovementioned experience AUEB will take the leadership of the quality assurance of the project.
